One thing you will notice about the range of jumpers you can find both online and in the shops is that they all vary with regard to how they look. Some of them have a plain knit in one colour, while others look as if they have used every colour under the sun to produce something that is both loud and memorable.
So which style is best? Are you better off opting for something plain and simple, or does a patterned jumper look better?
A lot will depend on your own personal taste. Some people go out of their way to find jumpers that are loud and garish with their colour choices. But other people will not enjoy wearing something that makes them stand out in a crowd. Which way would you be likely to go in this situation?
If you only like one specific type of jumper then you shouldn’t have any problems narrowing down your focus to buy what you really want. But with that said it pays to have an open mind as well, because occasionally you might find a jumper or two that looks really good and yet doesn’t fit with your usual ideas.
Plain jumpers are probably the most versatile items you can have, because they are good looking and they will match up with lots of different things. For example you can marry them up with a pair of jeans at the weekend, and you can also wear them on work days if they are smart enough. But just imagine turning up for work in a big thick jumper designed with half a dozen bright colours. How would your boss react to that?
As you can see there are plenty of options to consider and think about. It is very good to have a wide range of plain jumpers at your disposal for all kinds of occasions and outfits. But you should also buy a few brighter and more colourful ones made with different ranges of colours for those occasions when you want to live a little. No one wants to wear buff coloured jumpers every weekend after all, and having more choices available for when you want some brightness in your life will be better for you and your wardrobe.
So don’t stick to just patterned or plain. Play your favourites but add a couple of other styles in there as well.
